Have you always been curious about oil painting but don't know where to start? This 5wk online course is your guide book to begin your journey in a classical art medium. Learn about materials, how to set up your space and create your first oil painting. Perfect for anyone who works with acrylics and would like to finish with oils and those with a curiosity to learn something new and start at the beginning.

CANVAS SIZE 11x14, 16x20 or similar *Reuse old acrylic canvases by coating with white Gesso (2 coats: lightly sand in between) or semi-gloss white house paint

A table top easel

A Variety of Brushes: flat brushes, filberts

Cotton rags for cleaning brushes in between coats

A glass palette (use tempered glass from old picture frames - duct tape around the edges & rest on a white canvas panel or white cardboard

A palette knife or plastic knife for mixing
How ONLINE Classes work
A ZOOM link is sent to you upon registration. You can use the same meeting code for each tutorial
Each session is recorded and available for the week. If you prefer to access the tutorial longer you have the option to download it to your desktop.
The above reference image is sent via email. It's recommended to either print a copy in colour (black & white is also handy), or have it available every week during the tutorial on a separate device
