ONLINE PAINTING WORKSHOP

FOLK ART FIGURES
Ready to add figures to your landscapes? Folk Art is a great step in the right direction! This workshop introduces the foundations of gesture drawing and applying them to folk art figures. We'll be exploring winter scenes to learn about movement, adding clothing and details through outlines. Discover how to create depth with silhouettes and so much more. A great opportunity to work on individual studies before applying them to your masterpiece.
SUGGESTED ART SUPPLIES
Primed & Ready to use Canvas Pad/Sheets 9x12 or 11x14 (Alternatively if you have small old canvases you'd like to reuse, paint 1 or 2 coats of white gesso over top of your image. Make sure its dry before class).
Acrylic paints - Raw/Burnt Umber, Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Sienna PLUS ALL YOUR COLOURS for clothing =) so feel free to use what you have on hand.
Synthetic Paint Brushes (these are suggested sizes if you don't have the exact one use something similar): Small detailed round brushes, Small Flat Brush, Rigger Brush (Long thin, small detail)
Rag for cleaning brushes in between coats
Palette or plate
How ONLINE Classes work
To access the Online Platform you'll have to download ZOOM.US app to your phone, iPad, or computer. This is a FREE app and you only need the basic package.
(You'll see it says 40mins max. however that is if you were to host. So you'll still be able to join me for 2hr without an upgrade)
Once you've registered, create an account and I'll send you the link to join.

When you join the class, be sure to turn your microphone + video ON so I can make sure you can see & hear me. Once we get started you can change your video screen to face your canvas. If you prefer to mute your mic after this you can.
